Precautions for first operation of LNG storage tank
LNG storage tank is a storage container for storing ultra-low temperature medium. The precautions for the first operation of low temperature storage tank are as follows. The operators must have relevant qualification certificates before they can work:
1. Open the upper and lower liquid inlet valves for filling, and open the liquid filling overflow port valve to discharge the gas in the storage tank until LNG gas is discharged, and immediately close the filling overflow port valve;
2. When filling to more than 50% of the volume of the storage tank, close the lower liquid inlet valve;
3. When filling to 85% of the tank volume, close the upper liquid inlet valve and stop filling for 5 minutes to make the liquid level in the cylinder static, then open the upper liquid inlet valve to continue filling until liquid flows out of the filling overflow valve, immediately close the filling overflow port valve, stop filling and close the upper liquid inlet valve.
4. At the beginning of filling, loosen the connectors at both ends of the liquid level gauge, fully open the liquid phase valve and gas phase valve of the liquid level gauge, and check whether there is water in the exhaust gas flow. If there is water, continue to discharge until there is no water. Tighten the joints at both ends of the level gauge and close the balance valve to make the level gauge work normally.
After the first filling, the tank pressure will be more suitable for low-temperature medium when filling again. At this time, we must always pay attention to liquid level gauge and other instruments.
