Insulation methods and precautions of vacuum cryogenic liquid storage tank


As the equipment for storing and transporting cryogenic liquid, vacuum liquid storage tank must ensure its thermal insulation performance in order to be widely used in the field of cryogenic storage and transportation (such as cryogenic gasification station, LNG filling station, etc.). The thermal insulation form of vacuum cryogenic liquid storage tank can be divided into the following description:


1. ordinary thermal insulation; 2. High vacuum insulation; 3. Vacuum powder insulation; 4. Vacuum fiber insulation; 5. High vacuum multilayer insulation;


In addition to these types of thermal insulation tanks, the thermal insulation performance of other types of low-temperature tanks mainly depends on the vacuum degree of the tank interlayer. Therefore, the study on the change of interlayer vacuum after liquid filling of low-temperature storage tank is of great significance to improve the thermal insulation performance of low-temperature storage tank, increase the storage days and reduce the daily evaporation rate.


After the low-temperature storage tank is filled with liquid, the temperature of the inner tank decreases, while the outer tank is at room temperature, and the cold shrinkage of the inner tank occurs Doer  to the temperature change. 1. Since the cryogenic liquid storage tank is a fully jacketed structure, an effective periodic inspection scheme shall be formulated during use. For example, endoscope, pressure test and other methods can be used to carry out effective periodic inspection on the upper liquid pipe, side liquid pipe and their connecting welds in the vacuum interlayer, so as to find defects in time and effectively prevent equipment failure.


2. Doer to the working nature of cryogenic liquid storage tank, it is very easy to cause material fatigue failure Doer to temperature difference stress. Once the cryogenic liquid storage tank fails, it is very harmful. There must be corresponding preventive measures and solutions in product design, manufacturing and inspection, so as to ensure the normal operation of the equipment. The preventive measures for fatigue failure of cryogenic liquid storage tank are put forward from the aspects of design structure, welding control and maintenance of safety relief device.


3. The user must take frost and antifreeze protection measures for the safety relief device according to the design requirements, formulate a regular inspection and maintenance system, and implement it effectively to ensure that the safety relief device is sensitive and reliable.
